Algae is an original source of the DHA and EPA found in fish oil. We go directly to cultivated algae, so the omegas come from the source rather than through fish.
Does algae provide the same DHA and EPA?
Yes — algae provides the same DHA and EPA fatty acids found in fish oil. The amount per serving depends on the formula, so check the Supplement Facts on each product. Adult Omega Complex delivers 826.8 mg DHA and 4.13 mg EPA per 2 mL serving; Kids Omega Complex delivers 419 mg DHA and 3.38 mg EPA per 1 mL serving.
Where is the algae grown?
Our algae is cultivated indoors in the UK and France, under controlled growing conditions rather than in open ponds or the ocean.
Does Omega taste fishy?
No. Omega Complex has a fresh organic lemon taste, with no fishy aftertaste.
Is Asta Wise® required?
No — Omega Complex supplies your daily fatty-acid foundation. Asta Wise® is the booster: concentrated astaxanthin with Ahiflower® oil for antioxidant support.* If you pair them, follow each product’s own age-appropriate serving directions.
Which Omega should I choose?
Adult Omega Complex is the adult formula: 2 mL daily. Kids Omega Complex is labeled for ages 2–14: 1 mL daily. For infants and toddlers, Baby DHA has its own directions — 0.5 mL daily for 0–6 months and 1 mL daily for 6 months–2 years, or as your pediatrician recommends. These are different formulas and the servings are not interchangeable.
Why was astaxanthin separated from Omega?
Astaxanthin now has its own formula, Asta Wise®, the dedicated antioxidant booster. Omega Complex stays focused on algae-sourced DHA and EPA with Ahiflower® oil, in a non-staining formula. Measure each product using its own directions.
